2017 Current Agenda:
- Apologies for absence
- Minutes of previous AGM
- Matters arising
- Chairman’s Report
- Treasurer’s Report
- Election of Officers
- Changes to Constitution
- Any other Business
- Date of next meeting
With regard to Election of Officers - the Association is seeking nominations for volunteers to take up roles on the Executive Committee. More details can be found here.
With regard to Changes to Constitution - the new document proposes a
re-order of sections to align with the national constitution template, as well as some minor amendments - most noticeably:
1. a change to a June date for future AGM meetings, to enable the treasurer to produce up-to-date accounts. It also covers the issues of night time driving and poor weather conditions.
2. a change from seven to fourteen days prior to the AGM for the submission of Nominations for Executive Officer positions - The increase in days allows more time for getting information circulated, if required.
3. The date for accounts to be audited to be changed to 31st March from our current situation of August. This change would bring us into line with the majority of organisations and is likely to be more beneficial should we apply or make funding applications.
4. Alterations to the constitution and dissolution of the organisation shall require a majority vote of 75 percentage - currently 60 percent.
