Community Engagement Officers

Members of our Executive team have attended a workshop and held subsequent one to one meetings as part of a new initiative which is planned to launch during June 2018.

Community Engagement Officers (CEO's) are dedicated police constable roles which will be accessible and visible to communities, with the aim of increasing and enhancing the constabulary's engagement both physically and digitally.

You can view and download an infographic explaining more about the role of Community Engagement Officers here.

The role will continue to develop, and Suffolk Neighbourhood Watch Association (SNWA) will also look to develop the Area Coordinator network in parallel as part of the engagement process.

The primary aim of SNWA will be to offer the CEO the Area Network Coordinator as a single point of contact on behalf of local NW schemes.

We have identified the need for 52 Area Networks across Suffolk, to help link all of the 1000 schemes in the county. We have around 20 Area Coordinators in place, but now more than ever is the time for volunteers to come forward to represent schemes in their local areas.

For details of the Area Coordinator in your area, please visit the Your Area pages of our website.

If your area is showing a "Vacancy", and you are interested in taking up the role as an Area Coordinator, please contact us via email
